Job Summary

We seek an experienced, highly motivated, detail-oriented, strategic, and hands-on individual to join our team through an exciting and challenging growth stage. The Account Director will help drive strategic direction and manage a portfolio of partnerships for one of our high-profile clients.

Location

Minneapolis, MN.

This opportunity is a hybrid position that requires a minimum of one to two days a week in the client’s Minneapolis office (Tuesday through Thursday), plus the availability to visit local sponsorship properties occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute partnership strategies that deliver against clients’ objectives, leaning on experience and best practices

  • Oversee all aspects of project management, guiding strategy and creative throughout, with a detail-oriented approach

  • Manage the strategic development, implementation, and execution of partnership assets, including budget management, day-to-day communication, partnership evaluation, creative and onsite execution of assets and other client needs

  • Act as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams; Collaborate with internal teams to ensure campaigns are executed effectively

  • Independently develop strategic presentations that effectively guide discussion and storytell around partnership strategies and opportunities

  • Build and maintain relationships with key influencers, cultural experts, and thought leaders

  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of campaigns to ensure maximum ROI for clients

  • Use an entrepreneurial spirit to identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the agency

  • Develop and maintain a database of cultural marketing resources and contacts

  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to inform strategies and client recommendations/strategic guidance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field

  • 7-10 years of experience in marketing, communications, and/or sports sponsorship

  • Proven track record of leading teams and delivering successful partnership campaigns

  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team

  • Excellent project management, budgeting, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and partners

  • Strong analytical skills and experience in reporting and evaluation

  • Knowledge of the latest trends in sports and culture

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while working independently and collaboratively with various partners

  • Superior organizational skills and ability to problem solve/work effectively under pressure

  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products and highly proficient in developing PowerPoint presentations

  • Experience working with Google productivity apps, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides

  • Knowledge and/or experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X (formally known as Twitter), Snapchat, and TikTok

  • Ability to travel (approximately < 10%)
