Job Summary
We seek an experienced, highly motivated, detail-oriented, strategic, and hands-on individual to join our team through an exciting and challenging growth stage. The Account Manager will help drive strategic direction and support the account leadership team for one of our high-profile clients.
Location
Pittsburgh, PA.
This opportunity is a hybrid position that requires a minimum of two days a week in the client’s Pittsburgh office (Tuesday through Thursday) plus availability to work occasional nights/weekends as necessary for games and events.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute partnership activation that delivers against the client’s objectives, leaning on experience and best practices.
Oversee all project management and activation aspects, guiding planning, implementation, and wrap-up with a detail-oriented approach.
Maintain a sponsorship asset database to manage and track the performance of assets across the sponsorship portfolio.
Act as a liaison between clients, internal teams, and property partners; collaborate with internal teams to ensure campaigns are executed effectively.
Process and track partnership invoices and payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments to partners.
Manage the allocation, transfer, and usage documents for a significant number of tickets throughout the year, often working closely with C-suite executives.
Provide accountability through status reports, activation schedules, conference reports, estimates, budgets, etc.
Work with internal agency resources and Client resources to develop creative for sponsorship assets.
Independently develop strategic presentations that effectively guide discussion and storytelling around partnership strategies and opportunities.
Support evaluating and negotiating the client’s sponsorship portfolio, including existing partnerships, renewals, and potential opportunities.
Leading brand exposure valuation of media assets, and assessing fair market value of sponsorship assets through research.
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of campaigns to ensure maximum ROI for clients.
Analyze market trends and best practices to inform strategies and client recommendations/strategic guidance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
4-7 years of experience in marketing, communications, sports sponsorship, and/or sports industry
Excellent project management, budgeting, and negotiation skills
Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and partners
Strong analytical skills and experience in reporting and evaluation
Knowledge of the latest trends in sports and culture
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while working independently and collaboratively with various partners
Superior organizational skills and ability to problem solve/work effectively under pressure
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products and highly proficient in developing PowerPoint presentations
Experience working with Google productivity apps, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides
Knowledge and/or experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter), Snapchat, and TikTok
Ability to travel (approximately 10-20%)
